My Hall and Oates Dilemma Re: 500 Days Of Summer

I love movies. I think that's important to say right off the bat. So a month or so ago when the first teaser trailer for the new film 500 Days Of Summer premiered online, I was really excited.

What made me so excited? Well, check out the trailer, and see for yourself:

Pretty amazing, right? It's probably one of my favorite trailers ever. Great visuals and the song is amazing.

So cut back to today, where I woke up to the news in my Google Reader that a new, full-length trailer for the film had been released. So I checked it out. Then, Hall and Oates ruined my life.

First of all, how many movies are going to use this GD song in their trailers? There's definitely been at least 300 of them in the last 2 years. I like Hall and Oates as much as the next guy*, but this is insane.

They are blowing it right now.

Am I overreacting? Probably. But they really just lost the magic in presenting the movie that they captured with the first trailer.

This is now a movie blog.

*(no I don't)

  2. I'm very disappointed by this change in the trailer. Looked so good before. Hopefully they only ruined the trailer and not the whole movie.

  3. I'll put up another podcast soon.

I have to be honest, I'm very lazy and they take me a good 20 minutes to upload one.
