The end of a legacy

For the past 12 years at the Urban Archives, there has been this very old and creaky door. On the back of this door, there were a series of drawings done by various people. Over time, things like this just become part of the scenery. One takes for granted how precious things like these drawings really are. On February 18th, 2009, we got a new door at the Urban Archives and the drawings were gone.

Once this door was put up, we just couldn't figure out what was wrong. Even though there was a new door, the office felt like there was something missing. We finally figured it out. It was the "Monday - Friday" cat drawing. We managed to save this drawing and, as we do here at the Archives, digitally preserved it. This is something that really needs to be shared with the world. We have no idea who did this drawing, but it is a masterpiece. Make it your desktop background, print it out and hang it on your wall or refrigerator. Do what ever you can to make sure this legacy lives on.

Ladies and Gents.....I share with you, MonFriCat. I can't help but feel like Friday every day of the week.
