I can't blog everyday anymore because I have a job

I work until 7:30 every night and then we have band practice or shows to play or I have to cook dinner or I have to watch TV until I can't stay awake anymore and that is messing up my blogging schedule.

There are so many things I've wanted to tell everyone about but I simply haven't had the time.

We saw Greenberg on Saturday. The band plus best friends/roommates Rob and Craig were in attendance. Everyone loved it a lot, especially Tommy. He said something like, "Noah Baumbach is my favorite director and that was my favorite Ben Stiller movie."

On Friday we played the laser tag show and it was the best show ever. And then the next night we played Ava House (after we saw Greenberg) and I want to say that was really fun except I almost threw up while we were playing and nearly died from drinking a rotten juicebox. It was probably fun for everyone else, though. I can only speak for myself.

Ok talk to you all soon. I miss you. Sorry I haven't been around recently. I feel like a dad who has been away on a business trip who is calling his children and promising he'll be home soon but really he doesn't know when he'll be home because he has to reach his sales quota before he can head home and the economy is in the shitter. That's what I feel like. I miss my blog. Love you. Bye.

I am tired and I have had a headache all day. I am not usually one to complain about a day of the week (I hope I'm not, but maybe I am), but what a "lame" Monday after a really "cool" weekend. It was a very sunny and warm weekend and I did a lot of activities. More activities in one weekend than I have done in any recent weekend.

I think we might have to switch this blog over to tumblr. It's twenty ten. If someone can make us a tumblr layout that looks like this one, or something different but still cool, that would be awesome. If not, I'll just make it. I don't know why anyone would make us one for free. The more I think about it, don't make us one for free. We're perfectly capable computer users. HI EVERYONE. I didn't want to blog about being in California because I feel like that seems like bragging and stuff. But as Matt just noted, no one is really blogging, and I have nothing to talk about right now except being in California, so I'm going to talk about it. I'll try not to make it braggy. To give you some background on the trip, I spent a summer in LA and have friends here and a bunch of coworkers here. So I came to say hello to those people and hang out for a couple of weeks.

When I checked in at PHL I made a joke to the girl working the check in desk about airline peanuts (basically: what happened to them, comedians need to update their jokes about airline peanuts because they are no longer relevant and they should tell jokes about airline pretzels instead). Basically I charmed this sweet girl working the check-in counter, one thing leads to another and BOOM. Free upgrade, I'm flying first class. Not bad. I'm a tall guy so I appreciate the leg room. Oh yeah the free drinks aren't too bad either (I'm not talking about soda).

Got to LA late the first night, my friends picked me up at the airport with fresh In-N-Out in tow. They brought me two 3x3s, animal style (secret menu, go back to the east coast if you don't know about it) and I scarfed them pretty quick. I love eating lots of food. And In-N-Out is the best food ever if you've never had it then you might as well not even talk to me about anything at all. Rolled back to my boy's place and got situated then hit up the bars in Hollywood.

I don't want to bore you with the details I've been to some sick bars and clubs since I've been here. At one bar we saw Natalie Portman which was cool, she's cool. One of my friends is a semi-famous actor (I don't want to name drop), but he knew Natalie and we ended up talking to her and had a few drinks with her. That was pretty sick. Also we were at a bar with the cast of The Big Bang Theory, and I saw that one guy from Nick & Nora's Infinite Playlist and I saw a guy who looked like Heath Ledger I freaked for a second then remembered. S**t man. But it's weird it really seems like no big deal here. I don't know something about the west coast attitude you just don't sweat it seeing all the famous people.

Otherwise, I've been to Muscle Beach, saw the sunset over the Pacific Ocean, went to a taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno glad he's back, played mini golf, whacked balls at the driving range, whacked balls at the batting cage, and I've pretty much been subsisting on Pinkberry, medical marijuana, and animal style 3x3s from In-N-Out this entire time.

Oh and I saw Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron at Starbucks in West Hollywood today. That was funny Zac is a cool dude. I actually went up to him and talked to him and I said, "Zac! Why don't you have an 'h' in your first name?" And he just said, "Ummm, what?" And then he walked away with Vanessa.

Also I've seen Ken Jeong 17 times in the 10 days I've been here. He's pretty annoying. He is literally everywhere.

Hey guys. Sorry nobody has been blogging. I guess Brendan really keeps this place "floating." With him on his "California Adventure" we're having a big dip in content.

I don't really have much to say right now. I just wanted to throw something up here.

We've kind of been notorious for recording songs, sitting on them for a while, eating pizza, writing new songs, then finally releasing them. This full length has been no exception. It's been killing me to have recorded these songs in August and not letting anyone hear them. With that said, I am beyond excited to finally have people hear these new songs. It feels like I just drank a few cans of our favorite energy drink, NOS. If you haven't tried it yet, please pick up a can or two and reap the benefits of all-nighters, women, and fluorescent urine.

Anyway, we're extremely proud to say that our self-titled LP will be coming out on Tiny Engines. They're more than amazing dudes and it's great to work with people that seem as NOSed up on these songs as we are.

What a great thing to wake up this morning and find a new Broken Social Scene song on the internet! And it's a great song, at that! (Of course it's a great song, Broken Social Scene only makes great songs.) I have a huge bias. Sure. Whatever. This isn't CNN you guys I'm entitled to my opinion. This band is one of my favorites maybe my favorite ever so listen to this song and chill.

You can download the song yourself but you have to sign up for their mailing list to get the song. They're basically doing you a favor and giving you a free song since you definitely want to be on their mailing list. They're the nicest band.

We're very excited about Vancouver 2010. If you've been following along, you know this weekend was incredible: from Friday's opening ceremonies to the television debut of We Are The World (for Haiti (available now on iTunes)) to ski jumping to speed skating. With the exception of a little glitch at the torch lighting, which I'm sure you heard about, and the minor death of a luger who probably wouldn't have won any medals anyway (and was from the Middle East or something?), which you perhaps haven't heard about, this year's events have gone off without a hitch. Check this out. Medal count. We are on TOP. Which begs the question, if all of the fast food is making our country fat and unhealthy, how are we winning the Olympics?

Crashed my bike

I fell off my bike and hurt my shoulder. Ran into a car. Who knows when I will recover. Hopefully soon, because we need to practice before we go play on the "radio" next week. We're making our second appearance on WKDU next Thursday. This time around we will be playing with a bunch of bands: Spraynard, By Surprise, Hightide Hotel, and Jet Set Sail. It should be fun. I'm going to go ahead and say all of these bands are good bands. You might be thinking, "Brendan, come on. A band called Jet Set Sail? That name is clumsily ironic. How could they possibly be good." And to that I'll respond, "Listen, while I agree about their name, who cares? Because listen to their songs, they're really really good."

Anyway it's going to be fun. Spraynard and By Surprise are our good friends and I'm sure anyone reading this blog knows about them. They're both so good. And Hightide Hotel we don't really know but I met one guy from Hightide Hotel once and he was really nice and they're a good band so heck this is going to be a heck of a time.

So Tommy, Brendan, Matt, and I (Brendan McHugh I play guitar.), got together and had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week. Not only did we have a great dinner together as I'm sure most of you would expect, we spent the entire day together and had a fantastic time. Here is a recap of the day's events.

We rose with the sun and enjoyed a delicious home made breakfast. Tommy woke up a little early to prepare eggs benedict for all of us and it was a real treat. The Hollondaise sauce was a bit overcooked to be honest (sorry Tom!), but it was still a mostly delicious and fully nourishing start to what was looking to be a beautiful holiday.

After breakfast we put on our long underwear, filled our thermoses with cocoa, donned our favorite fall outerwear, and stepped out into a crisp November morning. In keeping with what is becoming an old tradition (going on five years now), we piled into Brendan's Jeep Grand Cherokee and hit the road. Destination: The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

At the parade nothing interesting happened, really. Tommy said a lot of inappropriate things around children, most of them Borat quotes, and embarrassed us. I think I fell asleep once but it was only for less than a second and I'm pretty sure no one noticed. Anyway, the floats looked really great and all the involved parties did a wonderful job. Thanks to the City of New York and Macy's for always coming through year after year. Oh, and it was great seeing Santa at the end, as usual.

We left the parade, went home and made ourselves a light (save some room for dinner!) lunch, and followed it up with our daily band practice. We jammed some Christmas tunes and some classics as well. Zep, Tull, and we even tried a Yes song. Just for the heck of it. Brendan Graham is the only person in the band who has actually heard a Yes record, but we found the sheet music for free download on a sheet music blog I subscribe to and just printed it out and went for it.

Following rehearsal we changed out of our music gear and put on our sports gear and grabbed the pig skin.* We played a game of touch (two-hand) until Tommy gave up because, "How the heck do you play football with four people anyway, this is stupid," and Matt accused Brendan Graham of cheating, which he probably was, and the whole thing just fell apart.

Heading back inside we found ourselves on the couch watching the NFL game that was on for the holiday and just relaxed. What a perfect day to relax.

We invited some friends over to dinner but they were late because they went to the big game instead of hanging out with us so we locked them out and told them all of the food went bad.** Matt made the turkey and it was exquisite. After we got it off of Tommy's head***, we all sat down and "dug in." The turkey was exceptionally tender and moist. Matt must have cooked it at just the right temperature and left it in the oven for just the right amount of time and also soaked the dead turkey body in moisturizing flavor oils for just the right number of weeks prior to thanksgiving. Anyway, we ate until we felt fat**** and by then it was about 6:30 and with all the turkey in our stomachs we decided it was time to get to sleep so we went to sleep and that was the end of the day and that's the end of the story the end.

Hey everyone what is your favorite food?

How about, "No thanks, I don't have a favorite food"?

I recently read an article in The New York Times that said if you have a favorite food you will die at least 9 years younger than people who don't care about having a favorite food. This will be because you ate too much of the same thing for your whole life. Your body doesn't like when you do that. Ya gotta mix it up. The key to health and longevity can be found in the old adage "everything in moderation." This is always true. This adage. And things written in the New York Times are almost always true, also. Anyway, this article inspired me to try to do everything in moderation for an entire day. I tried this today. Here is my day.

Woke up. This was the only time I woke up today, so that was fine.

Went to work. This was the only time I went to work today, so again, no problem.

Worked. This is where I really started to lose control. I worked for 10 HOURS! 41.6% of my entire day is being spent at work! Not very moderate! No sir!

Ate lunch while at work. I only ate one lunch which might seem OK but it was a big lunch. I ate a quesadilla (from the kids menu at least but it was still big) and a bowl of chili. I forgot I was supposed to be doing things in moderation so I ate until my food was gone instead of eating until I was full. Oops. Oh and I ate snacks all day ah man I blew this a lot.

Went home after work. Only went home once today.

Went on the computer at home after getting back from work. I shouldn't have done this. I was on the computer all day at work.

Practiced guitar. I did this really moderately. Like, only for five minutes. I was glad I was doing things in moderation today while I was playing guitar. All I could think while I was playing was, 'This is not fun, and I suck at this. I should go do something that requires less effort.' So I did.

Blog. Doing that now. I'm keeping it pretty moderate; however, this overlaps with my problem of being on the computer too much. Blogging is using a computer. Prior to this experiment I suspected that I was slowly dying from non-moderate computer use and today's events have helped confirm my suspicions.

Later I'm going to watch Curb Your Enthusiasm. I just downloaded four episodes and I want to watch them all right now. I'll probably only watch two since I'm trying to do this moderation thing today. That's pretty good if I only watch two. I think. I don't know.

So with these things in mind I went to the NYTimes Life-Expectancy Calculator and I entered my info for the day. It told me that I would die 14 years before most people because I live a life of excess and indulgence. Which is fine.

Conclusion: Use less computers, stop going to work, or at least stop staying there for so long, and eat more weird food and not too much of it. That's my advice to you.

This post was inspired by zenhabits.com and other self-help live-life-love-life type blogs that tell you how to do things that won't actually make your life better because you won't ever actually do the things they tell you to do. And they will actually just annoy you because you will think "the guy writing these things is a loser and why would I do any of this dumb stuff it's a lot of work."

Great news everyone (everywhere (<--nice)), we're going to mix our record on Sunday. That's one step of many steps in the recording process. It's also yet another step after which our record might leak onto the internet. We're looking into DRM and digital watermarking technology, as well as something like the Beastie Boys had on that one CD that when you tried to put it in your computer it gave you a virus so you couldn't use Kazaa or Nero anymore. Your burning days were over, essentially. I want to make a Sabotage joke but I'll refrain. As a band we support Rhapsody subscription music service and Zune pass.

Here's a picture I made in MS Paint and Photoshop in November of 2007. Woah - we should have a caption contest! Oh man, best idea. I was going to upload this picture just for the heck of it and that was going to be that, but this caption contest idea is a really good idea. Whoever writes the best caption for this photo, like, maybe not a caption, but whoever writes the best speech bubble for the guy or the bear or anything in the picture will win something. Something great. You will win an autographed baseball, signed by every current member of Everyone Everywhere. Seriously. I'm 100% serious about this. That's the best prize any band has ever given away. Let's see some good speech bubbles and get this thing going. The deadline for this contest will be November 12th. Time Machine Sunday Just For Kicks

I'm changing the name of the Sunday thing from Sharing Sundays (really bad) to Time Machine Sunday Just For Kicks (pretty bad).

Up next is Modera and our first release, Don't Say Goodbye.

Modera was (L-R) Brendan from Everyone Everywhere, Luke, bass player on the Everyone Everywhere Pants record, and Matt and Brendan from Everyone Everywhere. The band was a little different than Everyone Everywhere, Matt played guitar and sang, I just played guitar, we had longer hair, Luke was in the band, Tommy wasn't.
Modera came about by way of Fossil Fuels. Luke was playing with us since early on and we started writing real-ish songs. Modera was originally Brendan, Brendan, and Luke, and then we had some other people come in and do stuff, including our friend Calvin who sang on one three song recording that will possibly never be shared with the world. We parted ways with Calvin and then I was going to try singing but then we were like, we need another guitar player, so Luke asked Matt to play so he joined the band. Here is a quote from Matt about the experience:

Luke invited me to be in Modera. When I got there I was kind of nervous because Brendan Graham wouldn't talk to me. Brendan McHugh was nice though. We started learning songs. One time we tried to cover "Boys Don't Cry" by The Cure but we couldn't do it. I remember one time when we recorded Mike told me to sound more like a man when I sang. I was only like 16 though (ed. he was 17). I had sideburns.

So I didn't really want to sing and Matt was like maybe I can. And I remember we did a contest one day where I sang the song Skylines then Matt sang it and we voted on who sang it better. We decided on Matt, basically by a means equivalent to a coin toss, because in reality we both couldn't sing well.

So here is our first EP. Honestly, we flew under the radar. Totally underrated. I'm hoping this blog post will resuscitate this release. We have 9 followers on RSS so I know some people will read this. Download, brn to disc.

Matt reminded me of the new Phoenix record the other day. I already forgot about how cool it is. It's just, it's really cool. I saw a music video for their song Lisztomania, and I was honestly thinking while I was watching it, woah these guys look really cool and this song is really cool. I'm often sarcastic but I'm not being sarcastic about this. I'm being serious about all this cool stuff. Here is a Phoenix video that is not the one I was talking about. In the video I was talking about they have a custom Phoenix blimp. I want a custom blimp of some sort. Find that video on your own if you want. This one is funnier.

SUNDAY SHARING VOLUME 1 - Fossil Fuels

Welcome to the first installation of SUNDAY SHARING. I'm going to try and start a thing where I post an mp3 of one of our old bands, or maybe an old Everyone Everywhere demo, or a song one of us recorded by ourselves or something. There are many things I have to share that I've made with Brendan and Matt over the years, I'm sure Matt has a lot of solo stuff, and Tommy was in a pretty cool band called Razorbalde Romance so this will be an interesting/terrible sampling of our musical works.

I'm going to start things off at the very beginning. Brendan and I started playing music together during our freshman year of high school with our friend Zach. We wrote songs and played a few shows as a band called Fossil Fuels. I'll let the music speak for itself, but this is the earliest stage of our musical development. We had no idea what we were doing. Brendan and Zach listened to a LOT of 311, and we had no idea how to record things. These songs were recorded on a four track and then imported into the computer using the program Sound Recorder. Sound Recorder only let you record 60 second clips, so every minute we would have to hit record again and the song would have a noticeable half second or so chunk missing.

This song is called Another Wasted Night, and the lyrics are really obtuse and metaphoric, so good luck interpreting it. I was really writing some heavy shit in these days.

Tuesday Night

Saturday night's show was a pretty good time. The AVA House is an awesome place. It sort of reminded me of a really nice finished basement; something that a friend of mine had when I was in elementary school. Man, if you had a finished basement in elementary school, your house was the place to be. I remember the week when my parents decided we were finally going to get our basement finished, and how excited I was to finally have a way to lure other kids to my house. That and I had a huge front yard.

We also ended up selling out of our "Weird People" 7", which is kind of awesome (in that roughly 200 people wanted our 7") but also kind of stinks (because now we have nothing to sell to people at shows, besides t shirts*). We're brainstorming on a way to re-release the 7" though in another, most likely digital, format.

On a more personal note, I developed some sort of head cold in the last 2 days. I think it might have had something to do with all the smoke at the last show. I don't really know. I'm not a doctor.

Oh man, also, while I'm here, a word of warning to anyone reading this: do NOT eat Hershey's Pumpkin Spice Kisses. My goodness, they are just terrible. It's not that they taste bad, it's just that the experience of eating them is strikingly similar to what I'd imagine eating an actual Pumpkin Spice Candle would be like, so it makes you kind of sick while you eat it. Not to rant against Hershey's, because let's face it, they have an incredible track record. The Whachamacallit? Untouchable. But stay far away from these Kisses. Far away.

First thing's first; I have no real reason for this blog entry. Initially, I came on here to check if anyone had posted that we finished tracking our record, because I just spent the last 15 minutes or so thinking about the record and wondering what it's going to be like when it's all done and people can listen to it. Brendan, the only other member who ever posts here, took care of that though. Good for him. I knew I could count on him.

So now that I'm here, I should probably contribute something. I've decided to break this into a few parts.

Part One: Movie Review

On Saturday night, I went to a "Sneak Preview" of the movie Whip It. It was pretty crummy. They gave me a free t-shirt. I already lost it.

Part Two: Japan Music

Over the weekend I also discovered the band Malegoat, who are from Japan. Be Happy put out a tape which is comprised of their two japanese releases, and man, it's great. You should definitely go check them out: www.myspace.com/malegoat . Also, if anyone in Japan is reading this and can bring me their 7" that would be great.

Part Three: LOST

I finally finished Lost (well, up to where it left off, at least), and boy was it special. So much mystery, so much adventure, so much what the heck.

Part Four: Conclusion

Well listen, I'm done now. I hope this has been as enlightening for you as it was for me. On one last note, you should come see us play October 3rd (this Saturday) in South Philly. The address is on our myspace page. We haven't played a show in a while, so if you come you might get to see one of our worst performances ever. We'll try and make it "great" for you.

We seem to be experiencing something weird because I can't read a word of Brendan's last blog and it's not because it's in webdings because I can actually read those.

To make matters worse, I've been watching a lot (the entire series) of Lost lately, so now whenever something strange happens in my daily life, I attribute it to the Island.

For instance, last week I was walking home from somewhere (I go places) and while staring down at my feet (my normal walking posture), I saw a brack (brick) in the ground that had the phrase "You ARE GOD" written on it. Now, normally, I would have chuckled at the statement, paying it no further mind. However, with all the Lost I've been watching, I began to grow paranoid that maybe I was some type of God (I'm still not sure, really. While I've yet to accomplish anything truly divine, I'm giving myself a one month buffer to figure my powers out. Check out Bruce Almighty for further information).

Also, I started taking a Western Philosophy course, and the professor said we would be studying the work of John Locke. John Locke, who is also a character on Lost. What the heck.

So listen, I'm going to go lock myself in my bedroom for the rest of the night until I'm sure nothing bad has happened to Brendan and in turn will then happen to me. If anyone can help me, give me a call.

Sometimes I like to start off these updates with some sort of news story tie-in or something - maybe a joke about a current event. Just, you know, so we don't look like self-centered, ego-maniacal jerks that assume you come here only to hear about what our awesome band is doing. This time I'm not going to do that, I'm gonna go straight to the band update. I mean, it would have been funny to make a joke about like, that guy who yelled "YOU'RE A LIAR" at Barack Obama at a student council meeting or something where Barack was talking about how people are dumb now and kids should try harder and teachers should smoke less weed. Or I could have made a joke about how Serena totally cussed out the line judge at the U.S. Open and was all, "I'm gonna shove this mother effing t-ball (tennis ball) down your throat you mother effing punk!" and then she got banned from tennis like Happy (the Adam Sandler character) in Happy Gilmore or something. I don't know, it's just, there's so many people yelling and I'm all about good vibes and chillin' and that's what this band is about.

So, jumping right into the band update as I said I would, we've been recording a full length. Yesterday we reached the point where we have basically everything recorded except vocals for one song because I suck at writing/singing/preparing and couldn't get it done in the lab. We call the studio the lab.

The songs are real cool, you guys should probably like them. The sound on this record could be compared to like, our 7", or maybe the EP before that. Basically almost exactly like the old songs. We have not progressed in any way since our last release and I'm excited for everyone to be surprised at just how much we didn't progress over a one year span. (J.K. though, it sounds a little different maybe).

Speaking of the just kidding thing, I bet J.K. Simmons thought his name was pretty cool when literally no one else went by J.K., and then the whole AOL IM thing happened and it was like "Ah fudge! Well, everyone already calls me J.K. so what the heck? Gotta hang tough. Right Junebug? I run a newspaper for crying out loud!" And now that the whole AOL thing has kind of died out he's probably happy he stuck to his guns I'd bet. There's a lesson there.

And one last sudden change of topic with no transition to conclude this thing. If you want us to play a show you can ask us, we still like doing them. We will probably play like shit because we haven't practiced in a while because we've been recording and sitting around watching Greek on Hulu (that's mostly just me) and Lost on DVD (that's mostly just Matt). But ask us to play shows anyway because we enjoy it and we have to somehow sell the 40 t-shirts sitting in a box in our house.

Our Big Break

Well, it's been a crazy week.

Brendan McHugh turned 23, and then 2 days later, I did too (No, I'm not bitter that Brendan didn't make me a birthday dedication blog entry).

Not only that, but on September 2nd, we were featured in Chester County Cuisine and Nightlife's "Sound Check" section. I know, crazy.

So, I kind of figured a lot of the international crowd would be looking for a way to get their hands on this, so I used my Kodak EasyShare 5500 model Printer/Scanner to make a scan of it.

Hey guys. We haven't been updating this blog very well. If it makes you feel better though, everyone has been really busy.

Brendan McHugh recently took a job as the head of maintenance at Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park in Lancaster, PA. If you visit on Thursday afternoons, he can get you a free pass to the Helter Skelter house and a 1 dollar off coupon for an all-beef hotdog.

Tommy Manson has been spending most of his time developing his new iPhone app, the details of which I am not at liberty to discuss (hint: "that's hot").

Brendan Graham is diligently working for his new employer Goole.com, with his main focus on creating a search engine which only returns misspelled URLs.

Matt Scottoline (myself) is training cats for a new Deal Or No Deal Themed 12-month 2010 calendar.

In the meantime, we're also finishing our Full-Length. That should be good too.

In Savannah, GA right now. Actually maybe it isn't going great, but it is a character building experience. Our van had a tire explode, it is leaking transmission fluid, and our battery died once. Things have gotten better since then and we're doing pretty good now. Asheville, NC was one of the craziest places we've ever been. Bill bought devil sticks from a guy named Bobby Love and we met a one-eyed mountain man named JD at dinner and later he came to our show and had a great time hanging out with Matt. He was John Lennon's bodyguard. Alright, my web connection at the cyber cafe is expiring and I don't feel like putting in any more quarters to stay online.

Someone stole the handlebars off my bike.

There are much more valuable things that could be stolen from a bike much more easily than handlebars. This person must have been unintelligent or they had a very limited assortment of tools available to them. My handlebars were only worth about $5, but I had just put new grips on there, and also my bell was stolen with the bars. Ultimately though, it was the inconvenience of the thing that really p'd me off.

Blog traffic is finally on the way back up

It's been a rough few weeks as far as blog traffic goes. Our analytics report (an analytics report is basically just a JPEG that Google sends you to your Gmail e-mail that gives you a graph of how well your blog is doing compared to other blog websites) was looking something like this for a while there. We're back on the upswing though, and our analytics reports are looking more like this (trending upward). This is good news for us for a lot of reasons.

1. We make a substantial amount of money from blog advertising revenues from this blog.
2. Self-esteem.

So, thanks a lot for continuing to come to the blog. Everyone Everywhere has written new songs.
We have been slow updating our blog.
College is ending now so we'll have more free time.
So much that we may write in rhyme.
We're going to record our new songs soon.
Hopefully we'll have them done by June.
That way we can have them ready for tour,
although that may be quite a chore.
Who knows what the future has in store.

I saw an interesting episode of OPRAH when I was a child. My mom was watching it so I sat down with her to watch. This was sometime around 1995 or 1996 I'm estimating. There were all sorts of "experts" on the show talking about the technology we could look forward to in the new millenium. Fully automated smart houses were the big feature. You could say something to an omniscient computer in your house and your windows would be filled with some liquid or something to make them opaque. This way you wouldn't have to manually draw your shades at night. That was the only thing I remember. There was some other stuff that involved credit cards in your kitchen to buy fruit that would be teleported to you. I'm a little cloudy on that. I don't know. But they just kept saying that, by the year 2000, we would have all of these things. I want to see this episode of OPRAH. Are there DVD's of OPRAH? Why did I capitalize OPRAH every time I wrote it? I felt like it.

Basically what I'm saying is all we really have to show for it being 2009 is a bunch of people have iPhones.

I bought a new calculator today at the Drexel University Bookstore, so I thought I would share my purchase with the Everyone Everywhere community and give you guys a rundown on the feature set.

So here she is, the Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS Scientific Calculator:

I know what you're thinking. No, it's not pre-owned. This is a bona-fide 2009 model fresh off the assembly lines. And listen, she handles like a dream. A great dream.

What does the TI-30X IIS bring to the table? Well, not only does it have 2 line entry, but it also has full featured fraction calculations and conversions.

I have a Math test tomorrow morning, which will be my first formal outing with the TI-30X IIS, so maybe I'll report back after that to let you guys know how everything went. So far I've just been spelling words on it and giving it a lot of sun time to help condition the battery. Going green.

I found Philadelphia Eagles Breakfast Blitz cereal (fake Honey Nut Cheerios) at Acme for $1 a box yesterday. I bought 4 boxes. Pretty good deal. They taste exactly the same as real Honey Nut Cheerios.

Music Update
We recorded demos for 7 new songs. We'll record them soon. Whatever. Yeah. We're going to order new t-shirts soon. When we have a design I'll post it here for everyone. So, yeah. That's that. Basically. Who gives a care? Probably no one. I know I don't really care.

Personal Life Update
I'm building an electric car in my free time using an old Chevy Nova I picked up at the police auction.

Matt is designing a font based on his own handwriting. I'll say this: I got a chance to see the lowercases; if the uppercases are on the same level, shit, I don't know. Just, if you like fonts, start paying attention to this guy.

Tommy just bought a new skateboard and is currently working on "the nollie."

Brendan Graham is compiling an interesting almost-manuscript that will be based on a loose interpretation of his life ca. 1993-1997. It will be written as sci-fi fantasy.
